Harpenden Racqueteers Badminton Club plays at Harpenden Leisure Centre in Harpenden (having moved from St George's School in September). We are affiliated to Badminton England.

Club nights are Wednesday evenings between 8.00 pm and 10.00 pm and we operate separate summer and winter seasons.

Visitors are welcome to attend by prior arrangement up to six club sessions during which membership will be offered by one of the committee members to players of a suitable standard.

Teams

We have approximately 25 members, both ladies and men, and enter teams in the Southwest Hertfordshire Badminton League: Mens 6 and 4; Ladies 4; and Mixed 6.  We play with feather shuttlecocks.

Cost

Fees for the 2022/23 winter season are £180 excluding membership of Badminton England and Hertfordshire Badminton Association, which costs £17.  For the summer season we use between two and four courts depending on demand.  In the winter season we use five courts at club nights.  Visitors fees and match fees are £8.

Occasionally we arrange professional coaching for club members who are interested at a small extra cost.
