Come along as a visitor for up to six club nights. If it’s a good fit for both of us, a committee member will offer you membership.

Pay £12 a session on the night (juniors £6). We’ll make sure you get plenty of games.

Players of a suitable standard are offered membership for the rest of the season.

Winter season 2026/27

September to April. Includes £20 for Badminton England and Hertfordshire Badminton Association membership.
Summer season 2027
£140
May to August. The summer 2027 fee is estimated – last year it was £130.
Juniors and students pay half. That’s anyone aged 15–17, or in full-time education.
Juniors and safeguarding
Juniors from 15 welcome
Juniors aged 15 and over are welcome if they play to a similar standard to our adult members.
Club Welfare Officer
Our Welfare Officer is fully trained, DBS-checked and registered with Badminton England.

Good to know
Do I need to bring a partner?
No. We mix partners all evening, so you’ll play with and against lots of different members.
What should I bring?
Your racket, non-marking indoor shoes and water. Feather shuttles (AS30s) are provided.
Can I just turn up?
Please book first. On winter home match nights two courts are used for matches, so we check there’s room.
Can I join for just the summer?
Yes. We run separate winter (September to April) and summer (May to August) seasons.
Will I get to play league matches?
We enter four teams in the South West Herts League, and members are picked from across the club. About our teams
