1          Data collected for the purpose of running the club

Harpenden Racqueteers Badminton Club requires and retains personal data from members and visitors limited to name, e-mail address, home address (if volunteered) and contact phone numbers.  This will be retained for the purposes of communications between club members in a password-protected area of the club’s website.  This data will be retained for as long as a member or visitor is considered likely to join or re-join the club.  You have a right to access and correct personal data which the club holds concerning you.

 

2          Data collected for the purpose of registration with Badminton England

The club also requires data for the purpose of establishing new members’ registration and membership of Badminton England.  This data will be address, date of birth, ethnicity and gender.  Once established on the Badminton England website this data will not be retained by Harpenden Racqueteers.  Updating of individual data on the Badminton England website is the responsibility of each individual member.

 

3          Complaints and contacts

The data controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation is the club and can be contacted at committee@harpendenracqueteers.com.  You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office by calling 0303 123 1113 or online at www.ico.org.uk/concerns.
